Garuva Abrasivos began operations on October 25, 1990, producing iron shot for use in the marble and granite cutting sector. Due to the quality of its products, the company quickly established a reputation as a reliable supplier and consolidated its position within the sector.
Attentive to market demands, Garuva began operating its steel plant in 2001 and producing products intended for use in shot blasting such as the cleaning and pickling of parts and profiles, surface preparation, and shot peening.
Garuva Abrasivos first obtained ISO9001 certification in May 2008 and has since maintained its recertified Quality Management System on an ongoing basis. Additionally, the company also meets several specific requirements from customers through other standards, mainly within the automotive sector.
Due to its products’ outstanding reputation and market demand, the company doubled its production capacity in 2012 through the installation of completely new facilities and equipment that offer the best technologies and resources available on the market in terms of productivity and efficiency.
Beginning in 2019, Garuva began operating beyond Brazil’s borders for the first time, exporting its products to several countries in Europe, North America, and neighboring South American countries.
